Are you a UMASS student interested in studying a humanities-based subject?

If so, we are delighted to exclusively invite you to this year’s Cockcroft Rutherford Lecture – the University’s flagship lecture of the year – which will be held on Tuesday 11th June 2013 at The University of Manchester. We would like you to attend this event as our special guest, alongside many successful Manchester graduates. This is a great chance to develop your subject knowledge, at the same time as adding an in-demand event to your CV!

This year the lecture will be delivered by Professor James Thompson, Professor of Applied and Social Theatre and Executive Director of the Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute (see the attached flyer for more details).

The lecture will start at 7pm and will be held in Lecture Theatre B, University Place, Oxford Road, M13 9PL. Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, President and Vice Chancellor of The University of Manchester, will Chair the lecture, which will be followed by questions and answers. After the lecture there will be a drinks reception in the main foyer of University Place.

Please complete the survey below by 5pm on Thursday 6th June in order to apply for a place. Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, so sign up quickly:
