Finding a graduate job may seem like a long way off, but there are lots of things you can do to help boost your chances of going straight into work. All universities will have a dedicated Careers Service which you can use from your first day on campus.
A key role of all Careers Services is to give you the opportunity to develop your skills to make you more employable. They can give you advice on how to write a good application, give you a mock interview and get you involved in mentoring where you can learn about your dream job from someone who is already doing it.
At university you will have lots of opportunities to develop your employability skills, such as communication skills, teamwork and time-management skills, both through your course and also extra-curricular activities.
